Let me start by saying if I believed there was such a thing as spirit animals I would say, “Rachel Hollis is my spirit animal”. As a follow up to her first book “Girl, Wash Your Face” she released her second self-help book as “A Shame-free plan for embracing and achieving your goals”. I could not put this book down but I also did not want to rush it. I wanted to absorb every bit of advice. .I pre-ordered the Hard Copy and the Audiobook. Then, because I sometimes have insomnia I wanted to be able to read in the dark, I also purchased the Kindle version.  I started reading it the day it was released. This book addresses the excuses women come up with for not going after their dreams and goals. After the excuses are out of the way it tackles behaviors to adopt, then skills to acquire to go all in on your vision. She talks in detail about how to map out a vision and what you can do right now and every day to get one step closer to fruition. The audiobook is narrated by the author and is hilarious at times. Rachel is also in-your-face serious at other times. The physical books have illustrations and follow sort of an outline, so you do miss that if listening only. If I had unlimited financial resources I would give this book to every woman I know. I believe this is a message for women of all ages and no matter what your dream or vision is. I suggest you read Rachel’s first self-help book Girl, Wash Your Face before reading this book, because she references it a few times. 1. I can’t wait to read Girl, Wash Your Face so I can read Girl, Stop Apologizing. These two books are on my Christmas list this year. I’m interested in seeing what behaviors need to be adopted.
